Database Assessment Report

Lasted updated: 20 September 2019.

Large organisations can have hundreds of end-user initiated Microsoft Access databases. As these organisation change software platforms or operating environments these databases may need to be updated or converted. These conversions could be as simple as updating the Microsoft Access Database to work with the latest version of Microsoft office or may require a re-write the whole application.

How do you know which database requires what? Our Database Assessment Report will tell you this.

What is it?

The Database Assessment Report is a formal report on a Microsoft Access Database. The report shows the Microsoft Access Database Index (MAD Index). The MAD Index is a proprietary index that takes into account the quality of the construction of the database, this is measured by our Well Formed Index (WFI) and the complexity of the database application. The database complexity is measured by our Database Complexity Index (DCI).

Once the MAD Index is determined a set of conversion or update recommendations is given along with expected costs.

If there is a large number of reports purchased the results of each report will be tabulated into an Excel spreadsheet for analysis.
